About Washington DC Photographer Mark Finkenstaedt

Mark Finkenstaedt is a custom professional photographer providing the highest quality photography to design firms, corporate clients, magazines and advertising firms nationwide and the Washington DC metropolitan area. He started his photographic career in Great Britain but as a U.S. citizen he returned in 1991 using a slow economy in London as the "kick-in-the-pants" to return home after 21 years in Europe and follow U.S. news and editorial feature stories. During this time he worked for many of the top international and national news orgainzations as well as more specialized daily contributions to the Washington Post's Home, Food and Weekend feature sections. His time in London helped formulate his corporate skills as did the years of daily deadlines for magazines and demanding news organizations. He has been a freelancer his entire professional career. He lives with his family just a few minutes from central Washington DC and the White House.
